Hospitality, Tourism Accommodation & Leisure Award

For projects related to tourism accommodation, restaurants, bars, cafés, leisure facility, visitor attraction or similar businesses, irrespective of size. The project should highlight all forms of hospitality design, aesthetics, guest experience and commercial viability.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Submissions can only be made by a local warranted Perit or a practising firm of architects;
  • The projects must have been approved by the Planning Authority after the 1st January 2015 and built, completed and commissioned before the end of September 2020.

 

Submission requirements

  • The project entry name, site location and planning permit number;
  • An abstract of the project, describing the architect’s design concept intention, supported by a statement outlining the purpose for which the project is intended and why the project is being submitted as an entry for this category.
  • A brief history of the site and any planning constraints that had to be overcome or taken into account in achieving the final design.
  • A minimum of 10 photos of the completed project.
  • A maximum of 10 drawings, sketches, diagrams and photos showing the whole process of the project from concept to the final stage.
  • A minimum of 8 sets of photographs showing the before and after of different viewpoints of the site.
  • Preferably, a three-dimensional digital representation or axonometric to indicate the new work and the original fabric.
