The project celebrates the authenticity and historical memory of an old building including Roman-period remains. The interventions are minimal and interpreted in Corten-steel material creating a dynamic synergy between the new and original building fabric. The selected materials in the complement the original building. The architect demonstrates restraint and sensitivity in the handling of the conversion into a restaurant facility.
