This project is a lesson in the articulated use of interiors aimed at an authentic guest experience. The hotel renovation aimed to reinstate its landmark identity while adapting to modern hospitality needs, carried out through a well thought-out transformation of complex large-scale spaces, which still managed to retain a constant flow and distinctiveness at the same time catering for different experiences under one roof.

Location

Serviced Apartment at Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Golden Bay

Architectural Firm

QP

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Malta’s Golden Bay Beach, the renovated floor of serviced apartments at Radisson Golden Sands emerges as a beacon of relaxed understated luxury. The jury commended its timeless interior, contextually linked to the Mediterranean theme, together with elegant, balanced, refined details, including the use of the same family of shapes throughout its architectural geometry and language.

Location

Aalto and Deep Blue, Wied iż-Żurrieq

Architectural Firm

Perit Rebecca Zammit

The challenge presented in this interior design endeavor was a successful one: it infused a sense of luxury while harmonising with the natural surroundings, thereby setting a new standard of quality and possibility for the area. Through its uncommon aesthetic treatment and the interesting reinterpretation of vernacular louvres integrated in the new design, a delicate balance between opulence and integration, was achieved, as a testament of a truly exceptional experience that resonates with the spirit of Wied iż-Żurrieq.
