Rehabilitation & Conservation Award

For interior space of a new or refurbished commercial buildings or public buildings (such as library, school, religious building, museum etc). Nominees need to highlight how the project managed to fulfill the true potential of a space, maximise the benefit of environmental influences such as natural light, sound, ventilation and incorporate innovative material.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Submissions can be made by a local warranted Perit, a practicing firm of architects or a professional interior designer;
  • The projects must have been completed between October 2018 and September 2020.


Submission requirements

  • The project entry name and site location;
  • An abstract of the project, describing the interior designer/architect’s design concept intention, supported by a statement outlining the purpose for which the project is intended and why the project is being submitted as an entry for this category.
  • A brief history of the site and any planning constraints that had to be overcome or taken into account in achieving the final design.
  • A minimum of 10 photos of the completed project.
  • A maximum of 10 drawings, sketches, diagrams and photos showing the whole process of the project from concept to the final stage.
  • A minimum of 8 sets of photographs showing the before and after of different viewpoints of the property.
  • Preferably, a three-dimensional digital representation or axonometric to indicate the new work and the original fabric.
